On November 1, 2008 we hosted a drive took place simultaneously in three locations: Washington DC, Texas, and California, where over 70,000 pounds of clothing, building supplies and other aid was raised and prepared for shipment to Afghanistan. Donations included dozens of boxes of new shoes, carpet remnants, wheel barrows and tools, and thousands of articles of both new and used clothes. We greatly appreciate the selfless generosity of all those who donated either their time, items or both. Shipment of these items to Afghanistan is scheduled within the next month. We will provide an update on the progress of distribution as soon as it is available.
