Milestones to Date

Delivered 450,000 pounds of humanitarian aid directly to Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs), U.S. NGOs, IbnSina and Afghan civilian organizations since October 2008.

Held key meetings with Afghan Education Ministry to develop plans to build and support three schools in Parwan and Kabul Provinces, reaching more than 2000 children who have never attended school in their lifetime.

Partnered with Healing Hands International, a non-profit organization based in Nashville, TN to collect humanitarian items and coordinate the transport of aid to Afghanistan.

Partnered with Nutrition & Education International (NEI), a California-based organization that is cultivating the Afghan land for soybeans. LAF has already shipped more than 40 tons of soybeans.

Partnered with Afghan Education for a Better Tomorrow (AEBT) to provide tents, flooring, mattresses and water barrels for four tent schools in two different refugee camps.

Collaborate with Soles4Souls to provide Columbia and Sorrel boots for families in Afghanistan.

Partnered with Crocs to deliver 10,000 pairs of donated Crocs to Afghanistan in March 2010.

Working in collaboration with the Women of Hope Project, an organization that supports services for women in Afghanistan. One of LAF's schools is being developed in partnership with WOHP.

Partnered with Operation Ukraine, a volunteer organization in Columbus, MS, that is providing medical aid for LAF's refugee camp projects.

Collaborating with Global Samaritan in Abilene, TN to provide desks and furniture for LAF schools.

Coordinating with American schools and universities to provide uniforms and equipment for the first American University of Afghanistan women's basketball team.

Collaborated with Loving Hugs, Inc. to ship 2,000 donated stuffed animals to children in Afghanistan.

Worked with Stitches of Love to deliver 10,000 hand-made baby items, including crocheted sweaters, booties, hats, mittens and blankets to the children in Afghanistan.

Partnered with Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN to collect more than 500 backpacks filled with school supplies, which were delivered in spring 2010.
